Bridging your ICON LootCrates to Base
GangstaVerse is one of the first projects to allow bridging of NFT assets to Base on launch week. LootCrate NFTs can be bridged from ICON to Base and vice-versa starting on 9th August 2023, 9am PST.
The release of GangWars on Base will be the first-ever multi-chain game from GangstaVerse. GangWars is a captivating simulation game with RPG elements, allowing players and the community to have ownership of the majority of game assets. Engaging in battles, players form teams compete against opponents and secure LootCrates filled with weapons, sneak moves, and valuable items, all while earning experience points.
The game has already garnered immense love from our ICON community, motivating us to now expand its availability to the Base blockchain.
Bridging LootCrates between ICON & Base
GangWars LootCrates are tradeable NFTs on ICON blockchain (IRC31 tokens) that offer various in-game assets. Players can claim these crates to receive different combinations of collectibles and perishable items, including weapons, items, and sneak moves.
We are launching a bridge that enables seamless LootCrate transfers between the two chains. Owners can move their existing LootCrates between the ICON and Base blockchains, allowing them to access weapons, sneak moves, and items in the transferred chain. Initially, ICON LootCrates to Base will offer a higher chance of obtaining superior weapons, items, and moves.
The LootCrate assets in ICON will be IRC31 tokens whereas they will be ERC1155 in Base. Both are standard non-fungible tokens on their respective chains.
Assets for GangWars (on Base):
GangWars has their own set of assets including weapons, items, and sneak moves.
Weapons (ERC1155) are non-perishable and deal damage in battles. They can be combined to level up in Phase — II.
Items (ERC1155) are perishable assets consumed before battles. They boost stats (stat items) or provide various benefits (non-stat items), valid for one GangWar.
Sneak Moves (equipment class assets) can be used once in a game to gain an advantage. They are non-tradable off-chain assets that are acquired through LootCrates.
TLDR; In summary, items and sneak moves are perishable, allowing for a single-use, while weapons act as collectibles that can be combined to ascend to higher levels in the subsequent phases of GangWars.
How can we bridge LootCrates from ICON to Base?
Visit https://base.gangstaverse.co/bridge on August 9th 2023 9 am PST.
Connect your ICON wallet, which has your LootCrate NFTs.
Select the LootCrate NFTs and enter your Base address where the new LootCrate NFTs (on Base) will be minted.
Bridging will take a few minutes. The selected LootCrate NFTs in ICON will be burnt after bridging is complete.
After the bridging, the LootCrate NFTs will appear on your Base address.
Similarly, LootCrate NFTs in Base can be bridged back to ICON blockchain from the same interface. This feature will be added in the coming days.
Please note that bridging LootCrate NFTs will be allowed only for a specific period. We will stop the bridge after the launch party, and the LootCrates can be used in their GangWars ecosystem (ICON & Base).
