GangWars: Multi-Chain Tournament Season 2
After the successful run of Season 1 between ICON and BASE, GangWars: Multi-Chain Tournament is back for Season 2, now bringing the battle between ICON and Arbitrum. Powered by ICON’s Cross-chain Framework (xCall), the tournament allows players from different chains to compete for the same prize pool.
This article covers everything you need to know about Season 2, including the prize pool and the tournament stages: Registration, Team Selection, Group Stage, and Bracket Stage.
Prize Pool
The prize pool for season 2 will start from $1,000 and the amount will increase as more players join the tournament. The below table shows how the prize pool increases as each milestone is reached.
Stages of the Tournament
Registration
The tournament kicks off with the Registration Phase, where players can sign up from ICON or Arbitrum. The registration fee is $3, but players can also enter using Tournament Passes, which can be earned through various ongoing campaigns.
✅ Free Entry with NFTs: Players who own a Level 6 or higher GangstaBet NFT can join the tournament without paying the entry fee.
After registering, players will be airdropped weapons, sneak moves, and other items to help them prepare for battle.

Note: If you have both a Tournament Pass and a GangstaBet NFT, it is better to join the tournament from different wallets to maximize your opportunities.
Team Selection
Once the Registration Phase is complete, the Team Selection stage begins. During this period, players can choose their team of 5 players directly on the website.
Join our Discord to connect with other players and see if there’s a team you’d like to join. You can switch teams during this selection period if you change your mind.
If players fail to select a team within the 2-day window, they will be randomly assigned to a team.
Group Stage
Once the teams are finalized, players will have one day to prepare by equipping their characters with weapons, sneak moves, and items. Loadouts can be customized from the profile tab in the dashboard. After preparation, the Group Stage will begin.
In the Group Stage, teams will battle for a position in the top 16 of the qualifying table, which leads to the Bracket. Each team will face 3 matches against randomly selected opponents, and their rank will be based on wins, kills, and damage taken (in that order).
A leaderboard will track and display each team’s progress throughout the Group Stage, noting their wins, kills, and damage. The top 16 teams at the end of this stage will advance to the Bracket Stage.
Bracket Stage
The Bracket Stage is the final stage of the tournament, where the top 16 teams from the previous round will face off in a double-elimination bracket for the ultimate prize.
The stage begins with a seeding round — the winners advance to the upper bracket, while the losers move to the lower bracket. This is essentially an elimination round but as per the double bracket format, the teams in the upper bracket will get relegated to the lower bracket before getting eliminated, giving them one more chance. You can follow all the action in the Bracket as teams battle their way through the rounds.
The remaining prize pool will be divided among the top three teams as follows:
- 1st place: 50% of the prize pool
- 2nd place: 35% of the prize pool
- 3rd place: 15% of the prize pool
