GangWars on ICON Major Update

We are introducing new features to GangWars on ICON! This feature list includes long-awaited GangWars game types, GangstaBet Rental, and other bug fixes.

We will be going through the major updates in this article.

GangstaBet Rental

This feature allows anyone to rent out GangstaBets and also hire GangstaBets for themselves, to play GangWars.

GangstaBet holders will be able to rent out their GangstaBet NFTs for some ICX or CROWN. Hirers will be able to join different wars using the rented NFTs during this rental period.

How does Rental work?

Listing your GangstaBet for Rent

Head to the newly introduced “Profile” tab to view your GangstaBet NFT collection along with a new section for rented NFTs.

Choose the NFT you want to put on rent and click on the “Put for Rent” button on the sidebar.

Pick the currency of your choice (CROWN or ICX) and enter the daily rate for your NFT. This will be the amount that any interested rentee will have to pay for each day they rent out your GangstaBet.

Then you will have to confirm the renting details by authorizing it with your wallet.

The GangstaBet will be available on the rental market to be rented by other players.

You will be able to change the renting status and the rent rate from the same place as before in your PROFILE.

Renting a GangstaBet

Now if you are looking to hire some GangstaBets, whether it is because you don’t have one or maybe you are looking for a specific type of GangstaBet, you will have to navigate to the “Rental” tab.

Here you will be able to see all the GangstaBets that are listed for renting along with their per-day rate.

To rent a GangstaBet simply click on the GangstaBet and you will be able to see their stats in detail on the right side.

Just select the duration you want to rent out the NFT for and click on “Rent NFT” to hire the GangstaBet. You will need to authorize it with your wallet to complete the Transaction.

Note: You will be able to hire a GangstaBet for a maximum of 30 days.

Once hired, you will be able to view the Rented GangstaBets under “Rented NFTs” in the “PROFILE” tab.

Claiming the Rental Fees

Once the rental fee is collected after the rental duration is over, the fee is available to be claimed in your PROFILE under the Your NFTs section.

You can click “Collect your accumulated rental fees” to view how much you have earned from the GangstaBets you rented out.

There you will be able to see all the rental details — NFT id, rentee address, rental period, fee, and fee accumulated.

GangWars Game Types

Now to add a new taste to our existing game, introducing GangWars Game Types! This feature of GangWar allows players to play exclusive wars where only specified NFT types are allowed to join or only specified Weapons are allowed to be equipped. This will bring NFTs and weapons to the same level and let players fight from a common ground.

Note: Bots will be an exception to the type and weapon restrictions.

How it works:

There will be a label for each match that will show what weapons or GangstaBet types are allowed to enter that specific GangWar.

In the image shown above, the war allows only Cyborg and Zombie-type GangstaBets to enter the war, also they can only equip Katana or Remington 870.

With this Game mode, we intend to bring the battles to a more level field. With restrictions in weapons and types, the individual GangstaBet’s level, item, and sneak moves choice will come into play when deciding the winner of the GangWar.
